Hi Guys,

Thought I'd give you a heads up on what to expect from judging in the comps this weekend (big air especially). It seems right now that we are stuck with a degree of difficulty multiplier that allows super spinny flippy type of tricks to easily beat more style-laden fester molester types. I'll graciously attach the CFSA DD multipliers for each listed trick so you guys can figure out what you want to throw. Your jump and landing scores will be multiplied by these DD scores for final score. Figure it out..

1.00: nothing

1.25: straight air

1.50: 180, 360, sw 180, multiple grabs

1.75: sw 360

2.00: 540, 720, back/front flip, zero spin, lincoln loop

2.25: sw 540, cork 540, misty/rodeo 540, back/front flip 180, sw front/back flip, under flip, "quint grab" whatever the hell that is....

2.50: cork 720, misty 720, rodeo 720, sw rodeo 540, double front/back flip, flat spin 540, d-spin 720

2.75: 900, sw 720, 1080, cork 900 misty 900, rodeo 900, d 900, flat 720, sw rodeo 720

3.00: sw 900, 1260, flat 900

3.25: 1440, sw 1080

so thats the official multipliers to be used this weekend........plan it out...as you can see some relatively easy tricks are grouped with harder tricks for DD.....

Good Luck,

Ferg

hey ferg,

do grabs count for extra points on these values?

foster your steeze is going to kill you! steph would tear this up with a 1680 stomp!

haha

good luck boys, spin to win

JJ,

the actual trick is based out of 10 (this includes grabs, but also includes takeoff/pop technique, smooth rotation etc) landing is judged separately. The DD values above are then multiplied by your score out of 10....so theoretically if you have a super steeze nice smooth relatively small trick (say 540), you can score say 16 [8 on the perfect jump (10's rarely given) * 2.0DD for 540] but a guy can throw a normal 900 (get a score of 6 from a judge * 2.75DD)and end up winning with a score of 16.5.....but there are 5 judges, 3 air, 2 landing....so landing is super important, style is a major factor (in my books MAJOR MAJOR factor) so that will and should prevail over the degree of difficulty, but I thought that I'd post that just so you guys would have an idea of what trick can earn potentially higher DD's...

Any questions let me know...

Ferg
