Central is pretty much my top college right now, because of GPA and stuff, and I've heard its an awesome school. Only an hour from Snoqualmie, and about 2 to Stevens. Anyone here on NS have any input on the school or about living in Ellensburg?
 
I have a friend who goes there and iv visited a few times. he likes it, but i would NEVER go to school there. visit the town first see how you like the campus etc

You live in WA, meth's a thing here. Ellensburg is not unique; anyplace near rural areas is going to have a meth problem.

Finished up there in 2011. I enjoyed it a lot for 3 years. Took a boss 5. As stated above, it's windy. Also super cold in the winter. I didn't mind the cold though. Never encountered meth there. Only the good drugs. That being said I have never done meth so I am not the best critic. Girls are hot and easy, as long as youre not a complete sap. Made some really good memories and skied 70-80 days a year. I always suggest it to people that are into the small town, knowing everyone vibe.

This is the type of response I was hoping to get! Thanks for the input.

So it's reasonably close to snoqualmie, is there a bus that leaves from the school or something??? Stoked to hear you got so much skiing in, makes me excited

how bad is your gpa? could you really not apply to another state school? wwu for example? it has its downsides as well but the geography at least is much more interesting than the town of ellensburg. unless you like that sort of thing. im just partial to it being colorful here all year. msu bozeman accepts all sorts too.

wwu is definitely more competitive than central. And msu would charge out of state tuition.
 
MSU is in the WICHE/WUE program so you can get in-state tuition if you are a WA resident. i'd pick that over CWU but if you want to stay close to home and rip snoqualmie, CWU isn't a bad option
