Center mounting

does getting your bindings centre mounted REALLY make that much of a difference? and whats the difference between core centre and true centre? it would be good to know before i get my sticks mounted for the new season

how can you say that. If he rides powder every once and a while he'd regret it. If the majority of his skiing is out of the park he'd regret it. In general if you ski %75 park or more deffinately consider true.

I have to disagree.

When I get my skis mopuunted true center, I always take shit from a butload of people.

Personally I love it, and I can ski pow, and all mountain just as well.

YOu have to adapt to whatever youre riding.

It makes it a little harder yes, but all you have to do to ride center mounted skis all over the place including situations where you might gotta duck a rope is lean back.

The problem is that if you dont, you get some speed wobbles, and you wash out if you try to cut out a carve.

Its way better in my opinion, to true center mount, than anything else, cause it just rules.

DOnt be afraid of long tails and short tips.

Just adjust!

I ride my center mount skis everywhere and I dont have a problem with them... I still have good edge hold and if the skis are decently wide they'll still be fine in poweder. theres nothing wrong with center mounting if you ride more than 50 or 60 percent park.

I have my skis mounted true center, they are 175 TM's. I have skied park and pow with them and I can rip it just as good as the next guy. Its all personal prefferance. However on the east coast having them mounted a bit back is wise given the ammount of ice we have.

If you have a park ski and a all-round mountain shredding ski then mount your park ski center for shrue. but you you dont got 2 skis just mount your bindings 1/2inch back from true center so you can still kill the park and the pow days.

i had my skis both core center and true center, i like the core center better but i go out of the park alittle and if you go in the woods with true center its much harder, i think

well he has no idea what hes talking about. and 1/2 inch is about 1.3 cm. they dont go by inches at all and 1.3 would be dumb. true center, or one-two centimeters back from center mounting is the only knowledgable decision for a park ski. theres also a difference from core center, and treu center. youd have to ask whether the skis true center and core center are the same. if not core center is better if your lookin to jib more, true center is better for airs and spins. so w.e you go with, as long as your close to be center, you will be happy.
