i want to ski about 70 park and then just spend the rest of my time cruising not doing any real crazy runs what do you think should i mount center or back a little any advice welcome

70 park would be a good idea to do the 'true' center... Dont let them mount at reccommended center get the true center

DONT DO IT YOUR SKIS WILL EXPLODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just messin with ya... Center mounting works well for what you are looking for.. especialy if your gunna be skiing backwards a lot..

I just pray to god your doing it with symetrical skis, otherwise it don't work too good. My buddy accidently did that and his skis are like wild wolverines eating his flesh now.

true that...

if you are a pure park rat and do nothing but ride switch then yeah, center them planks!

but if you spend a bit of time charging then set it back, mount it back 1 or 2 cms....

thats wat i did with my old skis and they were so far back it looked like i had snowblades if u covered the tips

No. True center! If you can't ski on a true center mounted ski, I think where you should mount them should be your last concern. Center mounted skis really don't ski that differently, unless you're skiing a lot of powder.

Why? You don't need symetrical to do it, as long as you aren't doing like alot of powder/cliffs/bump runs you can't feel the difference, but skiing backwards the difference is ridiculous.

trust me it really affects it a lot if you know how to carve a ski properly. i went for dead center of the ski on my karmas, which made them about 7 ish cm further forward than even the park setting and they skied like shit. i had to lean back into my boots so hard just to get the edges to set in it was ridiculous. plus they really didnt ski very well switch either, which i was very surprised by. i took them in, got them remounted in between the recomended line for all mountain and freestyle and they absolutely kill it. they are far more stable, i can actually put my weight into the front of my boots like you are supposed to and the edges will set in. before when they were centered and i would put my weight in the front of my boots like i would when i would carve the tails would lift off the ground so they didnt carve. also, with them mounted where they are now they ski amazingly well switch.

so to the creator, if you actually enjoy carving your skis and like having the slightest bit of control, as well as keeping the tails on the snow when you are skiing then absolutely do not get center mount. i mean sure going in front of recommended is fine, but do not do it to extreme lengths like i did unless you like being out of control all the time. i certainly found that out the hard way.
