Center mount?

i guess its a good idea if you want to spin faster, but i have mine back further because it works better in powder, and having it backfurther doesnt affect your rail balance once you get used to it.

The general public believes that you are un-able to ski powder with center mounted skis, they are wrong.

Although if you are going to be a heavy powder skier, than you may not want to center mount them, but put them for forward so you still have a good amount of tail.

I like Center Mount and found it different for the first few turns in Powder, but quickly adjusted and liked it much more. The tips tend to want to go under when at slow speeds in flat heavy areas, but when you put at a good speed is not any different than a regular mounted ski.

Im pretty sure that the companies have put a lot of research into where to put the bindings. They have probably spent hundred trying to find the prefect spot. So why change it?

because riders are not the head of companies. if you notice on 4frnts and k2 they have mounting options close to if not the center of the ski. these companies listen to the rider imput and make changes. because the riders are the ones on the sno everyday, they know where they like to mount there skis, unlike some fat executive in an office.
