Center mount Scratch BC 06?

Hi

I'm going to buy a pair of Scratch BC 06 i about one month, and I wonder if i should centermount them? I'll be riding most park with them, but sometimes powder.... lika 90% park and 10% powder.

My last skis were centermounted and I liked it, so should I go with centermount again or should i mount them normal ?

thankS!

different skis have different mounting spopts, the rossi bc's arent meant to be centered, but if your in the park 90% of the time it prolly wont matter, you just wont be able to backseat as much in powder, so its you call either way will be fine

"thats how its done, balls out, first run"

well, i dont know :D should i get the scratch FS insted? But i like the lenght 178, its like a perfect lenght for me... and the FS just comes in 174 and 181...

the 06 bc is really fat, like 98cm i think. if you want something fat for park, go with last years bc, its only 90mm. as of the size, go with the bigger one unless you're really small.

yeah i think i want a fat ski for park, but i'm going to buy a pair of 06 skis.... what about sprayer Bc or sprayer fs ?

the 06 bc is to fat like everyone else said...if u ride that much park u might as well get a park-specific ski, that way u can mount center without fucking it up

my tp manger here in NC is sponsered by rossi, he had the 06 scratch bc at the end of last season, and it looked like they where center mounted. so id go there cuz hes really good.

Skiing in NC aint so bad

I hate it when snowboarders think they are so cool because they can 50 50 a rail

hope this helps, I mounted mine 1cm more then the modern line (I did the same on my 2004-2005 BC's) I would say at least put them modern if you're gonna ski 90% park. Trust me, these skis are BADASS

???? you NEVER mount a ski true center, mine are 1 cm more forward then the modern line, wich is already 1 inch further then the recommended mounting line from Rossi. If you mount your skis true center (and you know how to ski outside of the park) you're gonna have way too much tail and not enough tip.

like a charm, abit on the stiffer side then the 2004-2005. if you're an all-moutain skier you'll appreciate that, plus tons of pop and oh so stable.

I wouldn't reccomend mounting the 06 BC true center. Go with the 1cm ahead of "modern".

Also, I belive the 06 Scratch Sprayer BC has the same dimensions as the 05 BC, if you are looking for something that is not so wide.

On a scale of 1 to awesome, this is definetly awesome.

no the guy who said 1cm above the modern line is 100% correct. the BCs ski the best in the park at modern or +1. I have skiied a pair center and the Bcs are way more responsive at the modern setting or +1 the modern setting.

Im RICK JAMES bitch

Don't mount them at center. Scratch BCs aren't designed for it and it'll make them super twitchy. Your turns will feel weird, and you'll fuck up the sidecut.

None of that matters if you're skiing park about 90% of the time though, so do whatever you want. I would go 1-2 cm above "modern" mounting if I were you.

what about 04-05s? im getting a good deal on 188s and i dont know where to mount them. im thinking 1/3 park 2/3 all mtn. i want them to be responsive in the tight stuff. vitals: 6'4, 200lbs.

they doesn't look that big that I thought they would be with 98mm underfoot. So probably I'll go with the bc, maybe centermounted.

They're pretty fat but i want a pretty fat ski, and also i think it will be more stability in the landings :)

Its pretty much common sense not to mount a pow ski at true center. You are seriously wasting your money if you do. Every ski I ride, I have center mounted, but at the most, they have been 80mm @ the waist. I ride the rest of the mountain with center mounts, and even pow. The whole point of a pow ski is to make pow skiing easier and more fun. Mounting that pow ski @ true center really detracts from that, cause skiing pow with center mounts takes alot of work to get good at.

well i dont ride that much powder so it maybe doesnt matter. My last skis were centermonted and i rode powder with them sometimes, and that didn't feel bad. But maybe i should ask me local dealer if they have any suggestions on the centermounting..
