CC is cy young winner?

that is complete shit, beckett is a much better all around pitcher, more wins, better in the clutch, sure CC pitched more innings....but does that stat really matter in something like the cy young winner? sorry i just thought this was way off
 
i saw that and was shocked, he got double the amount of first place votes beckett got too, what season were these people watching?
 
yeah that really pisses me off. i mean cc is a great pitcher and all but beckett had an unbelieveable year. beckett def deserved to win the cy young hands down. i probably wouldnt be as surprised if the difference was a matter of a couple votes but it was basically double the votes for cc. i think id rather have another ring then the cy young
 
how could you not give it to CC? do yo u see what he did for the indians, do you realize we were one of the worst teams in baseball the last 5 years, then came back to the ALCS. his stats stand out, and becket is just a trashtalking piece of shit
 
Cy Young has nothing to do with playoff performance. CC is well deserving of the Cy young with what he did in the regular season. Lower Era, More innings which led to more complete games, and more strikeouts. Also CC might have had more wins too but he didn't receive as much run support as Beckett did.
 
well as much as i dont like josh beckett he should have definatly won that

and for the nl rookie of the year it was Braun who had about the same offensive stats as Tulowitzki but his feilding was terrible compared to tulo

Cc should have won the cy young award. when you consider their stats, and overall wins aside he was the better pitcher. Yes beckett had a lot of wins, but if sabathia was pitching for the red sox this season he would have had a hell of a lot of wins too. Plus the post season isn't a factor and that is where beckett rocked.
 
what season were you watching? the postseason only? thats what im guessing cause thats the only area in which beckett was better than CC. plus beckett is a racist bastard.
 
I'm a cleveland boy that goes to college in boston. Roommate almost killed me over this one. But i think cc deserved it too. If in the middle of the season the tribe could have hit the ball cc or fausto would have both be over 20 game winners cc should have had like 22 or 23. But truly beckett played bette in the post-season, luckily that doesn't count for shit. GO TRIBE!
 
yeah cc pitched 40 more innings than beckett and his era was lower....too bad postseason doesnt count beckett wouldve run away with it
 
Agreed completely. If I remember correctly CC lost two or three starts in a row only allowing 1 or 2 runs in each game. He also pitched a 9 inning shutout and got a no decision. Also for those of you who say Beckett is better in the clutch. This is a regular season award idiot! The post season had nothign to to do with it. If it did then he deserves the award, but it doesn't.

I'm a Brewers fan and a huge fan of Ryan Braun but I was actually kind of surprised that he got it. I'm really happy for him and I think he deserves it but I can understand what you're saying.  Ryan Braun is pretty much the shit though.
 
that is because that braun owns, he could have possibly made a run for MVP if he was caled up earlier. he hits em out like no other. he missed a considerable amount of the season whith which he could have ran away with the voting. he is becoming my favorite player. not just for his offense, but his defense can be pretty hot at time. even though thats what prevented him from starting the season. PRINCE 4 MVP!!!!!!!!!!!
