catamount terrain park

i went there once this past season on a spy mission and i gotta tell you, i wasnt impressed. especially coming from my perspective, those guys are just straight up sketchy. i;m sorry, but to put jumps right next to snowmaking equipment is just stupid. and to waste all your time on a half pipe and not make it have walls higher than 8 feet, kinked and not vert is just dumb. i could go on for a while, even about other places in the area, but i really didnt like the park.

some nice straight up skiing though. what;s that steep one under the lift? that was cool.

 
^ Yea, I went their the last day they were open and I was pretty disappointed. The website said they had the park open, and it wasn't. But from what I saw from sneaking around, was shitty. Everything was pretty crappy, the rails were haggard, and the jumps were half-way decent for that late in the season, but like Fluff said, right next to snowmaking? If you want rails that are actually maintained go to Butternut, which is 5 minutes away from Catamount. Or hit up Ski Sundown in CT if you are closer, they have a lot of new stuff going down next year.

I was there mid season and they had a 50 foot flat rail (or at least that's how long everyone said it was) that was pretty sick. Otherwise, the jumps were pretty burly for how small the trail was, you had to tuck the whole trail to hit the last one. Decent.

no snow..

Snowfall dictates the days activities if its snowing do it another day...
 
i haven't been there in about 6 years...... but when i was there they had a big table as i remember it........ then again at the time i was like....... 10.

I went there last week and they were making some snow on it, but for the most part its not very good.

The snowboarders make it icy and there is only one good kicker. The beginning is kind of crappy, but there are some decent rails throughout the park. Its not a terrible park but it could be better.
