Cat Skiing in Colorado?

Trying to plan a trip for this season. Anyone have any recommendations for cat skiing outfits in Colorado? Mainly looking for a place with good terrain. Not trying to spend all that money to ski 35 degree slopes all day.

Loveland just implemented a cool program last year where you ride the ridge chair and cat picks you up and takes you to areas that are difficult to hike to. It'll cost less than a lot of cat skiing operations too

I've heard good things about the cat skiing operation at silverton. Quite a few of the resorts in summit have little gimicky cat skiing day trips but the terrain isn't that amazing, just guaranteed fresh powder. Honestly if you are looking for gnarly cat skiing Colorado probably isn't the place.

the best way to avoid skiing lame terrain is going with a group that is all the same skill level as you. if you just sign up for a day trip with random people you'll end up skiing low angled pow with everyone else making a billion turns on the way down. jones pass cat skiing can be fun if you do a group day (although personally I'd just tour it, almost as easy) and it's only 300 bucks. I've heard the buffalo pass in routt county isn't super steep, but if you want to ski some of the deepest snow of your life then consider it.... I'd ask dudes on TGR, they have more money haha

Irwin probably gets as much snow as anywhere in CO. But, keep in mind, ALL of their terrain is on the south half of the compass. Go in Jan/Feb when the sun is still low enough in the sky to not immediately fuck the snow.
