Well I think street art is pretty whack in general, but he really takes the cake with selling out and self promo up the yin yang. Dude acts like he's some kind of gift to mankind, but I don't think his art or stupid social messages are anything special. Unfortunately, everyone's all over his nuts and praises his dumb ass work.

But more so than anything, that god awful movie happens to be what a lot of our generation has based their opinion of street art and mistakenly graffiti off of. Problem is graffiti is not street art and Banksy just sucks. It's just frustrating when people who don't understand graffiti and street art put Banksy as the face of the whole thing and think they get it.

yes! i definitely agree banksy is a sellout and a fraud. the rats he is so famous for, he stole. he started stencilling because his freehand was wack and knowingly incorporated one of londons original traincar freehand airtists work for his own benefit and has a number of other bad things to his name. he is the shaun white of graffitti, the general public have one massive circle jerk over everything he does, when there are way more talented people doing a much better job and getting nowhere near half the credit. 'mon team robbo

In actual fact, there is sufficient evidence that Banksy doesn't actually exist and an individual, and I proved to myself with a simple Google search after watching the opening screening that "Mr. Brainwash" is most definitely is fictitious.

As far as a movie production, I thought it was very well done. But yes I agree, it is far removed from the soul and reality of graffiti writing.

I believe that the misrepresentation and journalistic injustice was very necessary, just the same way it is necessary on major news networks. Think about it, most people don't want to go to a theater to watch this shit:

I mean, it's pretty G, but whatever.

Yes I am real.
While I am on NS. I would like to announce the sponsorship of Andy Parry and Steve Stepp. Welcome to the team. Also, Motive be slightly delayed, a name change is now in effect and due to another production company being called "Splice Productions", Splice will be changing it's name to "Splice Media Group". Motive is going to be called Shelby too.

Thanks for your support Steve, and as always.
Splice on.
