Cat or dog person

i have a dog but she is an annoying shit, my cat is the most friendly well-behaved creature on the planet and also a ninja with lightning reflexes and stealth-related powers such as invisibilty. I'm a cat person. My cat:

My cat is awesome and as loyal as any dog. She has slept in the same spot, every night, on my bed for over a decade.

She also poops in a box...thats hella tight

Unfortunately I'm allergic to both cats and dogs, so I probably won't have them as pets ever. But nominally, I'm more of a dog person.

Cats!

Dogs are for insecure people who need constant attention and have to feel needed.

But srsly, some dogs are cool, i just cant stand most of them, half because their owners dont train them, but also because their just fucking annoying. like, you've seen a countless amount of people walk by the house, every hour of every day, but you bark at every fucking one of them like its something completely foreign that you've never seen before.

Dogs are the bros/jocks of the animal world, dont shut up about how tough they are, always starting shit, giant attention whore's, etc..

I like cats, but nothings worse then either a dog or cat lover hating on the other... so annoying, the only reason i like cats more is because they're bad to have if you're not settled down and travel a lot, in my opinion.. and they're like lions and tigers haha

Dog 7 days a week and twice on sunday

Except for this cat. This cat can play for my team anyday

Such a clean hit, good shoulder to shoulder contact, no head hunting or elbow bullshit. That cat should be drafted next year in the NHL.

dogs. they are so much more loyal and have more personality. cats only care about them self

sweeping generalization. my cat used to walk me to school when i was younger and will come to me every time i call her name. works both ways too, if i tell her to go away she will actually leave the room. in my opinion and experience cats also have way more of a personality, dogs are either shy or aggressive but generally they all fall into the same boisterous energetic archetype. ive never met 2 cats with the same personality.

my cat is really loyal too. follows me everywhere and used to obey basic (stay, go, come, yes, no) commands before he went deaf.

I'm not a pet person, but if I was I would be a dog person. Something doesn't seem right about a grown man with a pet cat.

Side note - I grew up on a farm and I have learned through this experience that cats are pretty much disposable. They exist to eat mice and little else. They have kittens in spring. They grow up in summer/fall and a few survive the winter. While they had warm places to sleep (barns, bales, shops, etc), inevitably they would end up with frozen off tails and ears or crawl up into the warm engine of a vehicle only to get caught in something. Childhood was full of tragedy and harsh life lessons.

it obviously depends on each individual animal, and i like both cats and dogs, but i'm partial to the cats. they're so chill. like dogs do u even blaze bro??? i don't think my cat has been sober off of catnip for a couple years now, or at least he doesn't act like it

pic related. it's my cat. his name is chief.

I grew up with both, but I'm more of a dog person. Tahoe is the most loyal outgoing dog. I just love how happy dogs are.

The bills need some secondary on defense. This cat seems to be the logical option

fuck you for posting this shit

This so much, cats have so much more unique character IMO, but simple people dont see it because its not in your face barking jumping around.

I could call my cat and he'd come from wherever the hell he was jump on my lap and flip over for sum belly rubs, if i didnt do it he'd wiggle till i did.

he sat next to me when i was eating at the table, and if he wanted some of whatever it was, he would literally tap me on the arm, and look at me, polite as fuck.

he had is own "path" through the house, where he would put his paws in the same exact spot every step every time, to the point where there were paw prints worn into the carpet, the exact size of his paws. he literally left no room for error, it was like that in every room of the house. fucking weird, but so awesome.

he also would crawl around the AC vents in my house, you'd hear him meowing from inside the walls, and occasional shuffling probably chasing rodents or something.

you dont get that kind of shit from a dog.

I call my dog she comes running. I tell her to sit, down, roll over, dead, jump, paw, shake, "10" she gives both baths while sitting on her hind, spin, crawl, stay, speak, spin (in water), drop

fuck your cat, teach it to do ONE of those things

I was more talking about loyalty. Ill admit that dogs are way more trainable, but i think cats not being trainable is part of what i like about them, their a lot more independent. plus an untrained dog is a pain in the ass. an untrained cat is completely fine.

Ya dogs come when you call their name to, and also like someone petting them

I'm pretty sure most pets beg for food given the chance

Ruining your carpet is a good thing?

I'm definitely a dog person but cats can be cool if they don't piss and shit outside their litter boxes.

Man your username is ELGATO which roughly translates in Spanish to "the cat"! The more you know

Thats week gato...it wasnt even that bad. We've all seen pics of a butcher shop before

Dude, this is a thread about cats and dogs, something that should make this be an enjoyable thread. Why the hell would I want to see that stuff when I'm thinking of my fellow companions

I've always had cats and dogs (big ones only), and would of said I was more of a dog person as they are so adaptable and clever. But when I moved out and got my very own pet, she is a ginger cat, and she is so dog like, comes walkies and catches rats as big as herself, such a boss. So it gave me a new found respect for cats.

Here is a photo of Mylo and Copper down at the river.
