^ Has anyone been? Looking to take a heli or cat skiing trip up there this winter and i wanna hear what you guys have to say about it. Terrain? How many runs you get a day? Lodging? all that good stuff.

Also if anyone's been cat/heli skiing pretty close to kelowna, have family and would fly in there, I would like to hear about it. thank you fellow nsers

Im heading to revelstoke this winter, but I dont expect to be doing any cat or heli skiing so I dont know what to tell you. Revy gets a lot of real nice snow and I know if you go cat skiing they give you a nice breakfast in the morning let you go up early on the gondola then head out. Im sure itd be fantastic and you could probably save a lot of dough since you wouldnt be shoed into staying in some uber high class lodge, but im sure if thats what you wanted you probably could~

Hi end - Hi dollar - the ultimate in epicness.

I was in Revy a month ago. The number of Heli operations and the size of the fleets is amazing. One has 40 copters! With Fleets that large you know it is good.

There are a number of Cat/Heli opts within an hour or two of Revi itself too. Mustang Powder near Sicamous and Chatter Creek outside of Golden are two cat ops that come to mind. Definitely worth checking out.

Oh I should have added. most of the operations that I was reading about are package deals where you fly into Calgary and they take you from there. There are all kinds of packages from the beginner to the expert. There are packages that guarantee the verticle or they give you $100 back per thousand foot. 100 per 1000" ............ pricey!

There are 4 flights planned from Kelowna to Revy - Just google.. revelstoke heli skiing.

You will get a lot more specific information from those websites. Just remember it is expensive.

one of my friends got to go cat skiing in revy for a day. i dont know alot about it but he said he had a ton of fun

Revelstoke Cat SKiing

catski@revelstokemountainresort.com

1866-922-8754

$325/day all inclusive

not too bad for catskiing

Sea to Sky Mega Yacht adventures (heli from a yacht)

$36,000/day for private charter

i cant tell you what its like but i will tell you to go cat skiing instead of heli only cause if the weather's bad the heli doesnt fly but you still pay. Another good reason: by the time you're done your run your legs WILL be on fire and the ~30 min cat ride, or however long it is, back up = needed rest on the leggs

Have been going to a yurt/chalet outside Revelstoke for the past s winters. I'ts poor mans heli skiing one ride in one out. Selkirk Tangiers flies us, but the terrain is leased/serviced by Canadian Mountain Holidays. I cant speak as to the particulars of their ops but the terrain

but thats how they roll Wh20, Red Mt. and revvy itself are sick resorts and shouldn't be overlooked. Revvy runs a cat op out to the adjacent bowls sweet terrain, but can be acessed for free in under an hour.
