Cascade Opens Tomorrow!

We are opening tomorrow! Hours for today and tomorrow are 9-4:30. There will only be a handfull of runs open. We are setting up a small park in the North Park. There should be at least 5 rail/box features set-up... if we have time and snow we will certainly set up more. I'm heading up there at 3 AM tomorrow to set rails so I hope to see some of you out shredding tomorrow
 
holy shit 3 AM??! haha damn, thats dedication...so far this year the tyrol park crew doesn't start setting things up until 3 PM like an hour before they open...lazy asses...
 
Gonna have to hit up cascade a few times this winter if they got that dedication. Like Trevor said, Tyrol sets shit up at 3PM, and then during there open hours. They set up a down-flat-down at like 6 tonight.
 
Gonna be there sunday! gotta work park crew from 8am to noon then probs just shredding around the rest of the day
 
Well I think it was a succesful opening weekend... got maybe 10 hours of sleep, went skiing for a solid 14 hours, and celebrated someones 30th birthday inbetween all of it. Ski season is definitely game on. So, I think it's time to catch up on some of that sleep and then do it again next weekend. I hope that those of you who came out liked the rails we had set up. We are open Tuesday and Thursday nights and then opening Friday for the season. I'm not sure what the plan is for the park yet in the near future, but I know we are going to make a shit load of snow during the next week. We're shooting to be 100% open by Christmas.
 
I have to work every single day that Tyrol is open this week, so I might go up on Thursday if I can find some others to come along too. Don't know how I'm feeling about that yet though.

How much are tickets? Either I'm blind, or I couldn't find them on the site.
 
Well yeah, I saw that. But I didn't think they would charge full price for 1 park. Unless 44$ isn't full price.
 
hmm. solid point sir. i have no clue what lift tickets would cost this early. i'd hope they would be cheaper than that.
 
It's Cascade, I wouldn't expect anything less. They're not trying to please the customers. It's 100% about how many dollars they put in their pockets. And too many Chicago tourists will gladly shell out $50 for 2 runs.
 
I'm not positive but i'm guessing they're full price. But you could certainly just get a day or night pass or whatever cheaper ones they have.
 
our crew all bailed on cascade this year after they ruined the park last year.

word on the street was that they were going to keep it that way this year. They keep upping the price on season passes and tickets and keep lowering the quality of the park.

on a different note. its supposed to dump tomorrow night and is snowing right noweezyyyyy
 
this 12 inches of snow is going to help cascade and Tyrol out a lot and i have a feeling there is going to be a llllooooooottttt of people there at Cascade and it is going to be crazy. with only a few runs open the park is going to get destroyed
 
Yeah. All the gapers are going to be like "omg it snowed that must mean they have snow at the ski hills now. lets go snowboarding!!!!!!!"
 
If there's freshies you shouldn't even bother with the park... go find the good snow on the sides of the runs. And I'm pretty damn sure there will be more runs open tonight. By the weekend there will be probably 10+ runs going. I still haven't heard what we're doing with the park in the coming week but I will let you alll know when i know.
 
the park setup is pretty legit. got my FS switchup and FS 270 out back yesterday. any word on the park setup for the weekend?
 
the box rumor might just be true... it won't be like super big, but definitely 30+ feet... i don't remember how long it is for sure. And I don't know about the setup for the weekend... probably the same as last weekend, but i'll find out for sure in a few hours when i get up there.
 
yeah dude, im there like every other day. i got the orange helmet, brown jacket, and black pants. usually a blue tall tee too ha. ill hit you up next time i see you.

Stoked for tomorrow! might be busting out Terrance seeing as its supposed to be warmer!!! :D time for some fun shenanigans I have a few new ideas to try
 
im gonna be up there this saturday/sunday skiing by myself. My dad has some ski patrol shit so I'm just taggin along. Hit me up on a pm. Whether its blaze a quick bowl on the hill or hit runs all day i'm down.
 
i'll be there all day. purple coat, black pants, and probably a yellow headband that says "so stoked" in blue

I love blazin' down trails super fast and getting that wind in my face! That's what you are talking about...... right?
