***Carving When Doing 360s***

i can land 3s when i carve into a spin better than just spinning straight off. I like carving better because it`s more stylish and i find it easier. I feel like i`m cheating myself tho because it`s easier. I even carve on puny jumps.

who else on here carves when doing anything?

should i feel guilty about carving?
 
It will probably help you more in the long run if you can spin more naturally without carving and spin both ways. you can use carving off bigger jumps to help go corked later though.
 
In my opinion, carving is way way more ill when you are doing anything. If it's your style, you think it looks or feels better and what feels natural, then go for it and don't feel bad about it.
 
do whatever you want. you don't need n.s to tell you how to ski too. its your style, just have fun with it.
 
whenever I carve off the lip I end up getting off axis, so I cant do it for regular 3's and whatnot, I just pop normally
 
I'm a big fan of carving off jumps.

The last few weeks I've tried just heading straight off the jump with a wide stance and throwing the spin and I found I could spin faster, but I get in the bad habit of throwing entirely with my arms and I usually throw myself in the back seat. I decided that even though I see a lot of people who don't carve into their spins, spinning works a lot better for me and looks sick so I went back to carving
 
dude you're not cheating, its just better technique. Carving helps with timing and body position, i find it naturally puts me forward in my boots
 
Carving spins off jumps is fine and in my opinion more natural. The best part is it helps you float horizontally across the deck making it way more fun. I learned to spin straight first and learned carve threes years later and it's made spinning way more comfortable especially on bigger jumps.
 
When i spin off bigger jumps its easier to carve and i don't get that feeling of being lost in the air. After learning how to carve into jumps thats all i do on them now. And i think its more stylish to carve, its also more fun.
