Ahh im getting these crazy visions of hauling ass down untouched fresh groomers and laying down huge switch carving turns. I dont even want park, i could just carve switch allllll day... i want the fucking snow

idk what the trail is called, but at Park City, there is a pretty steep, long, wide trail that goes down to the jupiter chair. that i remember absolutly bombing down dragging my knuckles and then doing the same switch. probably the best groomer i hae ever skied

I used to know a groomer at my local hill and when he would groom at night, a bunch of us would sit on the back and and get the fresh tracks.

and let me tell you a freshy groomed run(like 5 minutes) feels like you're skiing in like maybe 3 inches of powder. Like not a challenging feeling or anything just a nice feeling.

Man this makes me miss winter.

yo i LOOOOVEE powder but hauling ass on groomers is mad fun. you catch some serious float of the littlest breaks. if you nice like that!

Haha yeah man i love carving switch. The best is when you pass middleage/old people that have never even thought about going backwards on skis and they come up to you and say things like "wow that is so amazing you made my day!".

Instructing at Whistler we used to go up the lifts at 8am before the kids came at 9...one morning in the spring, it stayed about 1 degree (celcius) overnight so the cords were perfectly soft and nice and grippy....we made it up the peak and bombed down to creekside, 5 of us, no stopping, with fresh cords......it was actually one of the most fun runs of my life...we didnt have to worry about blind rollers or anything cause no one was on the mountain....ripping corners and airing large off the rollers and roads.....**drool**

groomers can make your day when its fresh packed snow....if its ice groomers-shit suck. but if it snows during the night and they groom in the morning the snow feels amazing

okemo tourch light parade this year, freshly groomed snow right carved that stuff up to the fullest with my dawgs. It was even more epic cause it was duringthe parade with fireworks and u got to ski right into a crowd of cheering admiring fans, we were the first ones in, it was epic. best carves of my life.

dude you need better whistler stories. dreaming about groomers is like rocking out to britney sprears. then again i'm looking forward to shreding a backyard rail in a few days, so whatever

first down a hill owns.. regardless what it is. park/bc/pow/groomer if your first down a fresh line.. fucking you feel like god.

hahahahahaa!

actually, i had a pretty sweet groomer memory from whistler too. whistler just rules all around, all the time. aahhh.

ah man its an awesome feeling just ripping down a groomer first thing in the morning . First run just hauling ass before it gets busy.

First chair fresh courduroy. Not to steep, not to flat trail, super wide, with rollers towards the end = prime

Who here has ever just clicked into a pair of Super Gs and just rocketed down the mountain for a day? Its fun, if you haven't tried it yet. It reminds me of when I used to race.

i dont really care what kind of snow it is, i just want it to snow.

until then i just have my rail on the side of my house. and grass to land on. its ok though, the wait for winter makes it that much more orgasmic

Being an ex-racer, bombing down fresh groomers is easily as good as hitting park on a good day. Get the speed adrenaline going.

ahhh i love that shit..sunday morning everyones in church and i've the first one to get the untouched groomed trails and going down them switch with the whole trail to myself really makes my day.

Oh man best run ever came when the steepest run on our hill (not saying much) had just been groomed an hour before closing with fresh fallen snow from that morning. The groomer wasn't even off the trail yet when me and my friend bombed down it making the most wide and fast turns we've ever made in our lives. The snow was so grippy that we could carve as hard as we could without even the thought of slipping out crossing our minds. Yeah I'd have to say that was one of the best runs of my life.

alta stimulation when its groomed down to collins curve is unbeatable for the fastest carving around

I can't say I dream about skiing groomers very much. I do drool over the memory of getting 3 sets of first tracks when Bridger got 80" overnight, however. That was insane!

mmm, wow that sounds like a once in a lifetime thing man, you are very lucky. i cant even imagine thatmuch snow......

i was at mt 'snow and one of the trails i forgot which one its suuuuper wide the snow was soo nice i just remember bombing it at closing so no1 was on the trail.. best sw run of my life
