Carving Switch?

its hard to practice for me bcause the mtn i go to is seriously 90% snowboarders, and so are all my friends, so if i go switch down a run everyone gets pissed and calls me a showoff?!?!? so i can only learn at like 9:30 to 10:oo when no one is on the mtn

who cares what anyone else thinks, youre not there to impress anyone just do what you want and have fun doing it

Word on that, I stagger my feet and keep them close together and my centered skis help out too, but man can you carve hardcore like that. It's super fun.

if youre having trouble with the initial jump try to land more with your feet underneath you. like try not to landin a hand drag. that'll save your ankles alot of grief

Okay, can someone tell me how to eat food and type at the same time? No wait, can someone teach me how to ski online

Honestly though guys, just go out and practice. There isnt a set formula for skiing. Just go do it and have fun; you will get better in the process.

ummm hes obviously joking. My dad knows that you can carve switch. but if not, its super easy just practice a lot and ask Andy Mahre

i usually practice at 8:30 so that no one can see. it helps to put your hands on your knees, and when you're going straight, just bend down and look through your legs, you can see perfectly. that is the best way to go off jumps, but when you are turning, just put your hands on your knees. it also helps to loosen the buckle that is second from the top on your boots. good luck.

it depends how well you can turn rightside. if your good, it comes naturally. i used to race, so carving is effortless, i learned switch in one run. to those of you who cant ski and just jib, good luck.

yea if u get the hang of just going down switch and being able to look over ur shoulder it doesn;t take long to get use to carving a bit..
