Carve Tricks/ New Tricks

I always see people doing corked 5s and 3s carve off the jump. Does that make it easier? Smoother? Both? And when you guys are trying new tricks such as cork spins, rodeos, flat spins, etc do you try them into powder first or on a terrain park jump once you get the rotation down on a tramp?

trying new shit isn't really any different than doing what you normally do. if you can do threes, just rotate more and land backwards. if you can do fives and you want to do a cork five, you know what it looks like, just try to do it. all you have to do is strap on a pair. that's how i see it anyway

for carved tricks, i think it makes it easier. i couldnt spin for shit cuz i couldnt get my upper and lower body 2gether but when u carve it feels a lot smoother, atleast to me it does

how wide of a jump do u need to carve into it

someone just explain that whole thing cause i look pretty stupid when i spin... like what way to u carve and what angle and all that good stuff

the whole point of carving into a spin is so that your body is already flowing in the direction you're going to spin.

as for size of the jump, you just need one big enough that lets you carve while on it.

if it's smooth it looks a lot better

for me i do something in between, i don't just go straight off the lip and spin, and i don't pulla huge carve into it, i'm just slightly on edge when i spin

you'll need a tranny wider than like 5 feet and you're fine fot it

i've been experimenting with carving off hits and i was wondering: you know how when you carve left and spin left it sets a corked rotation? would carving left/spinning right set a bio rotation? it certainly feels like it would.

carvings easy, as long as you dont go big. I find its pretty fucking hard to carve off 50 foot tables when your going like 30km+ an hour

I wanna carve the opposite way of how I spin. Im gonna try that next time im in the park..

i dont think u guys really understand wut the whole carving the opisit way you spin means, if u went up to the jump carved left and spun right it probley wouldnt work the way you planned it. But my friend that snowboards, when he spins b/s 5s he carves up left and jumps, up the jump and spins the other way. Somhow it makes it look super smooth

na...actually it looks sick on skis....my friend and i were trying that last week and its fun as hell and looks sweet. we got the idea from snowboarders...we are carving to the left and then spinning unnaty or to the right...you guys should try it...fun stuff
