style is opinion based. but making sure you carve well and take off correctly and position correctly on rails isnt a bad thing.

this looks like an interesting product.

And it passed its goal on kickstarter.

I could use this on the Heartcarve custom piste to count turns.

F*** yes: that's going to be much easier than holding a clicker or using a sensored line to count turns.

I might even wear a sensor on the head or neck to measure upper body angulation... so tons of new metrics to use for ranking piste performance

it's not a chip it looks like a very thin insole. the square chip is outside your boots

really not that useful IMO
