If you had limited budget what would you buy that isnt gonna break all day long...I want it to last about 6 months and a lot of miles. Driving round the states so will probably buy when i arrive in LA from the UK. Spend between 1000 - 3000. Any pick ups worth looking for?

i think its pretty much a craps shoot at that price range. just get a hyundai. i got an 00 elantra with 39k on it 2 years ago for 3000$...totalled it this year with 95k on it and insurance gave me the value of the car....$4000. the thing killed it in the snow too....a nice set of snow tires did the trick, 3 years in mammoth and the thing never got stuck once.

just pick up a honda its cheap not expensive but it will last u quite awhile although it wont be too fast either but it will get u around for awhile.
