I hate having a car!!! ON the way back from the beach my car died. its gonna cost me a couple hundred bucks. damn alternator.

yea... i mean - heaven forbid you actually like - don't have a car. that would be so much better because than you wouldn't be able to go to the beach, not pick up chicks, and just sit on your ass in a kick ass chair and be on NS all day.

THe beach was horrible. not a single hot chick there all day at that!!!! we still had a good time, but we were all very dissapointed

maybee if you took care of your car shit like that would never happen, and your car wouldn't break down because of an alternator, it wouldn't start because of a bad alternator. get shit straight, and it shouldn't be that expensive unless you have an old yugo. fix that shit yourself pansy, that one of the responsibilities of owning a car.

No, I think I'll keep my car. I was just pissed at the timing. I need my car on monday. any other time this year would have been fine with me. I can bike or rollerblade, whatever. but I have a 40min drive monday at 6am. so I can't get anyone else to drive me. and mike hunt, you could get up, leave ns for a few hours, find a job, which means you make money and then you can buy a car with that money.

yeah i agree, i had a car for like a year and all it really gave me was over $2000 in repairs, this year i didnt and i never regreted it at all, all they are are money pits.

my sisters bf got in an accident and bent up the front of his car a little....then a few days later he was driving somewhere going like 80 km/h (40miles) and his hood popped up and caught the wind and swung around and smashed his window...he hasnt had much luck with cars

I found out it was my ac compresor. useless. for a new one plus all of the cleaning and labour it will cost me just over $1000. I can't beleive it. hopefully they can find a part that will bypass the ac compresor and bring the cost down. I can live without ac, right?

a cars a responsibility...i sound like a parent, but it is. right now, i sold 2 cars i had and got an audi s6 avant with help from my parents. i know, my parents are rich, but the 2 cars i sold i bought with my own money. it was an 87 el camino and a 94 jetta that i never drove anyway.

the audi is a serious money pit, since its an import, but its fun as fuck to drive. motorcycles are cool too, i use my dads yamaha fj1200 a lot

more like you hate the problems that cars have/the money it costs to fix if you dont know how. Fucking labor is expensive
 
dude you can replace an alternator very easily yourself. the part will only cost you like $30 or $40. take you maybe half hour. If you take it to a shop your gettin ripped off due to the high labor charges.

Ok, here's a lesson for all you children out there, if you don't know what you are talking about, don't open your mouth. Your car can(and will) in fact stop running because of a bad alternator.
