i just got a digital camrea and im wondering how peopel carry it when their skiing. in a padded backpack...or just what do you do to carry your camrea.

do you keep it in the lodge all day untill you need it then jsut bring it out for a few.

and how do you make sure it does'nt get stolen in the lodge?

dude it fucking sucked, last year first day out my friend got some sick footage of me on his digital video camera, including my first invert, and then some fucking snowboarders stole it out of the lodge. it was in a backpack, in a case. they dident even take the fucking LEATHER case, just the like 900$ camera. that thing was sick too, you could print out stills from the video and take real pictures with it. it wasent even his it was his mom's, and he hadent told her he was taking it. yeahhhh that day sucked. fuckin shady snowboarders

Does your hill have lockers? My hill has lockers that cost 50 cents each time u open it. Sure it costs a little bit, but believe me, better then getting your shit stolen.

when we carry our cameras we keep them in a padded case inside a backpack. We usually ride as a group so whoever has the camera takes it easy and doesn't do any jumps, then we just take turns, we have'nt fallen on it yet.

I've got an ancient olympus trip 35 made out of metal parts and is solid (no batteries). I keep that in a case and in my backpack and have survived a few crashes with it. U can scan the photo's later. Just use High ISO film like 400.

And if you think the lens is too small, just get closer.

yea, so what your saying is carry a backpack..put your camrea in it..and around the camrea put like 2 pillows or something??

and is the oakley small icon a good backpack..and could it be an on slope bag and a school backpack.

yeah turns out my friend is getting REALLY lucky, his dad was smart when he bought the camera, he put it on his home owners insurance, and hes getting fully reimbursed now

Yea i just use the regular camera case at my local hill, but when I go out west a backpack, because you don't want to travel all the way back to a lodge. It sux riding chairs w/ a backpack on though, you wanna take it off before you get on the chair for comfort factor.
