Carry-on Ski Boots

wondering if anyone has any experience in carrying ski boots on a plane, specifically air canada.
obviously i dont want to check them, but im wondering if its best to just use the power straps over the shoulder or if there is a boot bag that fits the measurements...

Depends what type of aircraft your taking...if its a regional jet i would put them on your shoulder and cram them under the seat in front of you...if its a bigger jet (737, A320 etc) id rock a boot bag and place it in the overhead bin...
WARNING...be careful when opening the overhead bins as contents may have shifted during flight.

i carried my boots on a smaller plane from Montana to Portland OR this last summer didn't have any problems just got alot of weird looks, way cheaper than checking them and i stuffed them with my goggles and gloves socks and some other stuff that i didn't have room for, just check with the airline but i dont think its a big deal.

when i flew with my boots i had a bag big enough to fit my ski boots in. they didn't fit in under the seat in front of me. so i just took them out and put them in the over head area.

ive never had an issue flying both domestic and international in and out of the US or Australia.. if your worried put them in a plastic bag maybe

forget carrying them on. wear those bad boys!
but seriously i've always considered taking boots as carry on if i really need to save some weight. so far haven't had to.

never check your boots. if the airline loses your skis, chances are, there's a decent shop where you're going that you can rent some decent skis. if they lose your boots... it's shitty rental boots for you.

air canada is fine. i flew from toronto to vancouver and back

i was carrying my spk kaos with the power straps done up together and slung around my shoulder. youll have no problem

i've always carried on my boots, just used the power straps and over the shoulder. that way i dont have to use a bigger bag to stuff them in and check, the extra weight of the boots is just more potential for higher charges (not to mention if they lose the bag...would suck).
i usually pack all my ski shit into my ski bag (pants, extra jackets, base layers, gloves, NOT goggles), then check a smaller bag for clothes for the vacation and then carry on a backpack with my laptop and my boots over my shoulder. i have never been hassled. i do the same as mentioned above, put my goggles in my boots so they dont get smashed anywhere.

Usually i just strap them to the outside straps of my dakine heli pro until i get on the plane and them either stuff them under the seat or put them in a overhead bin...

power straps over the shoulder and throw em in the overhead. NEVER check your boots. you can rent skis and be fine. you cant rent boots and be comfy.
