Carpet used for skiing

YO I'm wondering if anyone knows what kind of carpet is used for skiing outdoors or indoors. I have seen a couple vids now with kids skiing on some kind of carpet in the summer. Let me know if you know where I can get some!! thanks,kyle del francia

any kind. most people use astro turf but i didn't have any so i just used some old carpet. probably want it short, but any kind will work though as long as you keep it covered with snow / wet

Most of the videos I've seen, and even at The Jib Yard, they are using this white material, looks like its actually used for skiing, not just any kind of carpet.But I'll definitely try some wet carpet and see how slick it is.. I'm planning on making a good size flat down box, and just need something to jump on it and land on

just keep it wet and it'll slide. you don't need pro ski carpet, if such a thing exists, just keep it wet

use some kind of low cut indoor out door carpet. That is what i used and it was great.

take the carpet you find in your house preferably tight woven and wet it down with som detergent and or just water and it will slide like the snow you skis on in the winter
