Everyone saying "this is dumb/gay" or that he should just get a bmx bike or a mtb, are you serious? You think a roadie just randomly developed those skills. He is Martyn Ashton, "legendary British trials rider". He is like a mountain biking hall of famer, and I would seriously bet that he didn't pay for that bike.
 
His skills were impressive, but it just seems dumb to do it on a roadbike. So what if he didnt pay for the bike, its still retarded to destroy a perfectly good roadbike. It makes him look ungrateful IMO, if I had a bike like his I would baby the same way I do with my trek 1000, instead of just thrashing it.
 
still dumbthe inspired bicycles thing where it starts off with the guy riding a goddamn fence is way better
 
The point of the video is he can do those things on a road bike, thats why its awesome, so I don't know why you'd tell him to get a bmx or mountain bike, then the video would be boring as shit.That would be super hard though, that was very impressive.
 
the reason it was impressive is because he did it on a bike like that, it wouldn't be the same if he did it on a regular trials bike. The reason for being sponsored is so you can progress something. So its expected that he is going to thrash his bike, he is doing something different.
 
true, but the geometry is just sooo wrong for the kind of stuff he's doing on it. but yeah, that thing probably weighs in somewhere in the teens.
