Ok so here is the deal. My grandapa has a '93 Subaru Impreza. He wants to sell it to me for a very low price (500-800) the car is in pretty good condition no body damage/rust, he just put a new battery in it so its running fine great on gas. However it needs a new clutch, and has 150k miles on the engine. so my question to you newschoolers is should i get it or save my money

thanks

for that price I would go for it. A clutch isn't terribly expensive, and if you take good care of a subaru they can run well over 200k miles.

yeah its been kept real nice so i will most likely its just that one part of me telling me no. i only need it for local stuff

my buddie still drives an 84 subi wagon 389k on it still runs good, its a great dael i would tell your grnadpa 500 or 800 if he gets the clutch fixed so you dont have to hassel with it but thats just me. it will run for ever with proper maitanance

they're known for holding up real well, i'd definitely go for it. i have an impreza (newer, but still) and i love it!

thats the best car u can get!!!

ur grandpa didnt drive any races or fked it up on purpose like a aged 20 would

this one will be in good condition for sure

ok i havent gotten a single no from you guys yet. and i made a mistake it was a 96 not a 93 so score three less years!

holy hell how is that thing still running. i know hondas go forever but damn thats a whole nother level...i have a 99 lexus es 300 with 170+k and she still runs fine however i have a feeling ill be forced to dump some money into her for new brakes some time in the near future
