hey I bet one of you hooligans can help me with this. So I have a 2000 vw jetta..I tried to unlock the driver's side door with the key this evening and when I turn the key, it feels like its not catching to unlock the door. the battery isn't dead because I literally drove the car 2 minutes before this happened. I don't have a remote unlocker and the only lock hole is in the drivers side door. any suggestions prease?

lol women indeed.

you dont have a remote (not electric)

the battery isnt dead (again, not electric)

you tried to unlock it with the key? (how else do you know how to do it?)

for reals though...

try a different key like said above. otherwise sounds like you need a new lock. a locksmith can open it if you really need then you can just leave it unlocked. either way locksmith fee = new lock cost. unless you can find a friendly neighbor with picks.

enough with the woman shit..I know a thing or two about cars...enough to know there's a legitimate problem. I'll call the dealership in the morning. thanks guys.

THAT WAS NOT INTENDED FOR YOU HENNY I HOPE YOU GET YOUR SITUATION WORKED OUT (no reference to jersey shore) AND ARE ABLE TO DRIVE IT AGAIN SOON TO STARBUCKS.

MUAH

Clearly you know nothing about cars if your calling the dealership to hep you out here....have fun paying out the ass

No way man. Dealerships are legit. I had a problem with my antenna, found out from the dealership I needed a smiley face to put on the end of it. Only cost 700 bucks. I don't see why they get a bad rap all the time.

find someone with triple A..... say you believe you left the key in the car cause you can't find it...

Have them open it up for you for free. Unlock the door from the inside... then at least you have vehicle... call your mom tell her you believe the lock is broken.

you can open the door and see if the lock feels like it is doing the same thing and what not. If so... yeah, new lock time. But you can empty out the car and leave it unlocked in the mean time.

Its women like you that make us all look stupid. even paris hilton would know that in order to fix this you need to first, remove the outside of the door with a crowbar, then take a hammer and hit the doohickey 5 times, then you have to take a pair of tweezers and take out the wangdoodle, then obviously you need to put a piece of gum under the hoozywhatsit. Finally, you go to toys R us and buy a set of those toy baby keys and they should work. heres a picture for reference...

Maybe if you had owned a vw or audi yourself you would know that this isnt just that easy. It's definitely something that frequently happens to those cars and people generally have to take them to the dealership to get it fixed. Don't be such a smart ass. Nobody cares to hear it

Oh no i got the lame sarcasm... that wasn't even what i was referring to..I was referring to the part where she said this is what makes women look stupid..

ouchie dat hurted....especially coming from a creep who quotes all of my posts, comments on everyone of my pics and pm's me.... :(
And to that lineloving VW expert feminist twat, I do own a VW and do all my own work on it.
jesus christ what happened to ns....

Really?
She was just asking a question about her car.
When I had a GTI I only had 1 key cause I bought it used and didn't even know the car had an alarm until I was getting my battery replaced and the alarm went off. They asked me how to turn it off, and I said I didn't know.

Just because you own a computer doesn't mean you know how to add more ram.
Just because you are driving a car, doesn't mean you know everything about it. Sure it is a pretty basic question, but when she posted it, it was probably one of those oh shit moments where you think... fuck, my mom is going to be pissed.
Yet another thread where girls end up bitching at each other....

i'm pretty sure mk 4 vw's have an electric key hole lock, hense the reason you lock them by turning your key left in the door lock, so yeah it could be an electrical problem.

so maybe try a new door handle or a locking cylinder, door handle you could find at a junk yard but the cylinder you'd probably have to order.. good luck!

talk normal - not like a five year old.

i think i commented on 2? of your pictures?

if you dont like ns then get the fuck off..And stop bitching, bitch.
