Car Life

Vague Idea of what your doing? haha.

Your site is fucking killer man Keep it up. The photo doing the hand plant on the hip is so on point. The colors look amazing.

Hey T-Lan, I probably should be a little more cochise with my words haha. Thanks dog, I really appreciate you looking over the work.

Hell yeah dood! If I had any advice, I would say solidify and specify your goal(s).

Shooting on the mahalo volcano has been a goal of mine for years. Hopefully I'll be there in a few weeks...depends if I can get time off work to drive up from Colorado. Reason 2345312356319 why I hate working for other people.

If you're ever down in Colorado hit me up!

Your work is sick man, keep it up!

Yo! Thank you Grant, much appreciated. I gotta say, getting what is in my brain out, in a way that makes sense, is tough. Still trying to get that one nailed. Hopefully it gets a little smoother as things roll along.

Digging what you do as well!

Pretty disjointed. It's cool that you're going for it, and stylistically so (at least as far as the words are concerned), but I think more focus would dial it up a notch. It would provide more clarity and cohesiveness as well.

Perhaps studying more would help. Often times when you're trying to copy someone else you stumble on to your own path.

I have been leaning into a couple resources/inspirations lately, I think you might enjoy them. The Road by Cormack McCarthy is written in a great style with strong and stark language. I find it simple, yet deep simultaneously, which is tough to do. The other is a collection of photos and the original article from skateboarding's Dogtown. CR Stecyk is not only a master behind the lens, but the simple, assertive, and somewhat avant garde writing is something I really enjoy.

As for the photos, some more thought to composition, shot choice, and post processing would help out, although they seem far more polished than the writing.

Thank you for your words Sklar, I need that push. Assembling thoughts is a huge challange for me and Photographs/Visuals make more sense. However I understand the Importance of showing a story and coming full circle with words. Every photographer is working on their photos, I am still working on being truly thoughtful with my surroundings. I believe great photo needs no words. Starting to get there.

Checking out those books! I have heard of the Z-Boys so I'll definitely cinch that in my backpack.

solid. love the first blurb. needed something like that in my life tonight and right now as i am currently in a huge state of change. i am about to move from reno to LA in order to pursue graphic design, which is my absolute without-a-doubt passion in life. turning away from the mountains i love in order to do something different with my life, mostly because everyone around me is not pushing me to be the best i can be in my life. i havent seen my mom in over a year, my sister once a year since shes in college, and my dad is older and disconnected from most of what i do on a daily basis.

Damn. Yeah you're getting after it, I've noticed that support for a dream is not always unanimous. I believe in pursuing what you love though, so I'm stoked. LA is the hot spot, I know the scene is beyond competitive but just believe in you and stand up to the sharks. Get to where you need to be, we're both fighting for it.

Really enjoyed reading this, it offered some inspiration to me to keep grinding away. Awesome to see people pursuing their passion and going all in. Keep up the good work, keep chasing down the dream, it'll come!

Awesome man, I'm glad it was inspiring. I definitely found myself writing harsh, but it shows what it's really like. Thank you! Keep after your dream as well
