Car Insurance?

Does anyone know what the deal with yound drivers and insurace? my gf got her license 2 weeks ago, but hasnt driven once because she doesnt have the money for insurace.

so my questios is ifyou get pulled over, will the po ask for proof of insurance, or is that only if you get in an accident?

You have to have insurance on your vehicle in order to drive it. It wouldn't suggest driving without it. If she gets into an accident, she's screwed. Tell her to be patient.

If you get pulled over cops will ask to see proof of insurance, registration for the car and your license. In most states you can get labiality (for injuries and accident repair to the person you hits car) and not get collision (for damages to your car) fairly cheap depending on what state you are in…

I would not risk driving without insurance, it's really not worth it. Some companies depending on school grades and if you have taken a drivers ed course or stuff like that give out a good amount of discounts making insurance pretty reasonable.
