With that said if you aren’t hooning it 24/7 then that shouldn’t be a problem. Subaru’s get a bad wrap because of the people driving them, not the car itself. With reasonable care a Subaru will last you a long time. I drove a 97 M3 sedan once and it was a very very fun car to drive but the owner says he spends about 4K in parts a year just to keep it running smoothly. He mostly keeps it in his garage and drives it on sunny days just for fun. Oh and his daily is a WRX.
