Capix

anyone use one? how well do they really work? lets chat this one up! ive been thinking about picking one up but i heard that they arent too good

i own one and i can say that i will only wear it on days that i don't plan on trying anything new... the helmet wont protect your head much at all.. obviously more then a hat will.

If you want something just for the look of it, get the capix

its just a plastic shell and some foam. not really that good for protection. if you want the visor look id go for red, smith (09), or bern.

ya i just like the whole baseball helmet look, and how its pretty low profile, but i was just checkin in on the actual function of the product and how well it really worked

capix is just a hard hat.. K2 has a low profile visor helmet that will actually save your head.

don't plan on it actually protecting your head. its pointless to spend that much money on a helmet that isn't going to do anything.

im not sure where you find your capix helmets, but "that much money" and capix are not two things i would ever associate with eachother. The places i get them from theyre maybe like $45

i wouldn't spend that much on a hat, either. $45 for a fashion statement helmet is retarded in my opinion.

just rock a hat under a helmet and your all good.

i wasn't hating. its an opinion. also, the thread creator was asking about it. for safety's sake its important for someone to know things like whether or not their helmet is good enough for what they intend on using it for.

$45 is about how much you pay for a quality new era (no not all, but some). It is also better than wearing no helmet, not that much better, but still better.

i mean first ^its better than nothing, second its cpsc certified (so its not terrible) third it looks pretty cool 4) its cheap i got mine for 35$

however, yes i have another helmet for when im throwing down new tricks and outta bounds stuff

You can get the Bern Baker EPS...now, I know alot of you are thinking. "The Bern Baker is just a hard hat"..but that is why I said EPS. They make the Bern Baker with two different foams. There is the Bern Baker with Brockfoam (multiple impact)..which is just a hardhat..and there is the Bern Baker EPS which is regular one impact foam that has been approved with most standardizations.
