i have one with a brim.... like a baseball cap.... its not warm becuase i wear it only for comps..... but its a helmet..... i dunno if it works tho to stop damage.... just dont fall upside down and you wont need one

My friend has one (brim) and it looks cold because there's nothing to cover your ears...I guess you could wear a hat under it, but that usually looks gay.

Swix makes some low profile ear-muffs we used to wear under our hats in MN. They are pretty small and would keep your ears warm.
