Cape Cod Video - Critique....

nice man, some really good shots in there! was that all with tokina 11-16? a few of the shots looked tighter, maybe not though. I loved the song choice, and it set the mood right with the chill vibe- matched Cape Cod quite well. I loved the hard cuts from clip to clip, but there were 2 times when you did hard cuts within a clip (1:15-1:25)I'd completely get rid of those, and just keep each clip nice and fluid. The editing in that part just seemed to be contradictory to the mood you set. The cross dissolve at 1:00 works really well, but i'd get rid of the rest of them (1:10 and there may have been one more). Sometimes they work, but most of the time they just seem too cheesy. Also, if you have any audio of waves crashing, birds chirping, wind blowing, that would add a lot!

Overall I thought it was great, just a few things that I think would help improve it. 45-1:03 was my favorite part

Thanks a lot man! And actually all of the shots were with the 18-55mm kit lens and just used a tripod for stabilization. Unfortunately I didn't have my rode mic when I shot this so I was not getting great audio from the camera to add anything in naturally. But thanks again!

Anyone else feel free to chime in!

Thanks!

haha that's awesome man. proof that lenses don't mean all that much. Try download a few free sound effects online and see what you come up with

Thanks man! I just felt like gliding and panning shots sort of flowed with the song better opposed to static shots. But +k for the critique

Thanks Guys!
