why does it seem that everyone here hates 1080. I have had a pair for two years now of constant abuse. I have seen other skis break just as easily. My friends rossis snapped right in half after about a year

fuck that man, stop dissin the tens. i have never had a problem of hte sides tearing off from grinding and they never get soft. half the people who dis them prolly have never even skied on a pair.

yeah i beat my 1080s pretty bad and i have the junpei ones and ive used them for 2 and a half years and other than a few scratches theres really nothing wrong witht them, the edges have stayed in through a lot of grinding, and they are pretty sick skis

I don't know what the difference is. Scratches are ABS though, and that works really well.

I think slanted sidewalls reduce swing weight so you can throw that extra 900. Vert sidewalls transfer power to the edges better, so you can kick Jono Brauer's arse. Could be wrong though.

Go the Ptex sidewall construction, strongest for rails.

In tractor pulls, a 'full pull' is the best you can get. Ahh, how sport mirrors life.
