there was far too much snow today for me to know, and being since this is the last day i get to ski before going home for christmas it must be a larger terrain park by the time i get back, sorry i dont know whats up
the jib set up is the same, dancefloor, picnic table, offset boxes, corrugated tube, down rail, u box. As for the big park, the sun peak chair just opened so the park isnt up yet. But there are some interesting looking pieces of plastic over there.
painted horse is full length. all boxes and 1 rail i think, with 1 jump at the bottom. i think we almost got 40 inches this week so they havent had any time to upgrade the park since they built it.
been pretty good lately, had some nice turns the past few days... park is ehh, not bad, dont like the snowblowers right now, or the fact that you cant hit the one rail they have and the jump... what they got is alright tho, lot of fun shit to play on all over the mtn, im pretty stoked for this ski season despite the troubles early on and the current snowpack... i think it will improve
9990 was closed but peak 5 was off the hook I was amazed at how much powder they had. I think for the first time in history they underestimated the amount of snow they got
9990 was not closed... i rode it most of the day, and yea it was a lot more than 2 inches... pretty deep in some of the valleys where all the snow was blown, was actually a really good day today
when i went up saturday i got in line just before 9990 to opened mid-day and it was amazing. face shots and making your own lines on untouched powder for a good 2-3 runs. i definitely got lucky on that one.
I ski first thing every morning 9-12 or 1 and yestrerday when i left that side of the mountain at 11:45 it was closed.
as for tomorrows slopestyle it is put on by axis. you can go to www.axisfreeride.com and get the info. i think it is about 45$ to enter
I just moved out here from Minnesota, and now I need a crew to film/shoot photos with. I got all the gear and tools, now lets go shoot some sick shit. I got my pass to the canyons but if anyone wants to do urban stuff in SLC or backcountry in the PC area I am down. Post it up here or PM me and lets make some movies!
Ya I'm down to film. Starting next week I'll be riding the canyons 3 or 4 days a week. Also down to hit urban in the slc area. Let me know when you ride and maybe we can make this happen.
I will hopefully be there this weekend and more starting next week. I just got here so I am still getting paperwork and whatnot down. I am down to film anytime I am out at the canyons though.
nothing specific, but steve was super stoked on it, and cooper hoffmeister, one of their riders was too, and just by looking at the rail yard it should be absolutely awesome. the trapezoid c rail thing looks sooooooooooo fun.
was at canyons today. big park not open yet and remains still mostly huge piles of snow. They did have some features in now that i could see, including a huge tube at the top of the run which looked sweet. main park was as crowded as usual.
today wasnt as crowded as expected honestly. saddleback had big waits at some points, as did tombstone. anything else was pretty clear throughout the day. 9990 was kinda busy and there was alot of traffic in some of the points where runs pinch together.

thats the medium park, way fun. the bigger parks layout already got mentioned above and its pretty fun as well, if only they could make the jumps a tny bit steeper that would be way rad. ill have a new edit up someitme next weekish.
dude you would do your shoulder in! bahahah! its alright i did mine last year 1st run of the day with out ya there. ya know one of those days where i had to catch a ride with gaper JONGs and then ditch em
