i think you kind of answered this for yourself? just send it. also on bigger jumps or when you are trying to go bigger on the spin carve into it

Well, work your way up to carving. Start on small jumps and practicing carving. If you go and carve off a massive jump and just huck it you will surely die. Start small with the carves, then work your way up.

only read thread title, but don't get down on yourself. big jumps are comprised hundreds of tons of snow in some situations, and anybody would be hard pressed to spin one without the assistance of some kind of heavy machinery.

to help you out, I would recommend a bulldozer

If im scared to spin a huge jump, I'll throw a 180 off of it. Idk why, but it helps me a lot. Every other spin just seems less scary.

And if you can't commit to the 180 just do a 90 and revert to forward screaming "LSM LSM LSM"

Its much easier on bigger jumps...lot more time to spot landing and control your spin. Hardest part is that first initial huck. If you can do it easy on smaller jumps the transition isn't hard...you just gotta sack up son

180s on big jumps scare the fuck out of me. I don't know how you do it.

OK I actually had this problem until last weekend. You kinda have to just do it and understand that you need speed to do it. My old problem (and it still isn't totally solved) was I wasn't going as fast as I was to straight air and I'd always nuckle. Secondly make sure your spin is slower because if you whip your 3s like your use to doing you will over rotate and die.

yeah man that was my same problem. i always knuckled them and ate shit. im just gonna forget about everything and send it. thanks

I still havent spun really big jumps at all but in the last two weeks the park i ski at has built a bigger jump than they did at all in the last 3 years, so I spun bigger than im used to. Pretty much just do it, it comes around the same and feels a lot better to float around than to blindly spin

Take a couple runs at the jump to get the feel for it. When you realize how much airtime you have to spin and how fast you need to go, just picture the spin in your head and do it when you feel ready. (I personally find that winding up for the spin but not spinning helps you get a feel for the spin) Also, do a grab when you spin. It prevents you from flailing and keeps you balanced.

read the poll. i think lip on blind 2 is the better answer but i think getting full tilts should work just as well. probably gonna try both.
