So i'm getting a new pair of AR6's. I'm 5'11' but only weigh 140 pounds. Last year I was riding 176's and they felt pretty good. This year i was thinking about getting about getting 181's, but I don't know if i weigh enough to ride them comfortably. I ski 100% park and was leaning more towards the 176's. Any thoughts?????

If you feel like you're gonna be more comfortable on the 176 then get those. You've already ridden them and are comfortable on them so I think that'd be best.

im 6 foot and 150 pounds and they feel great. im getting even longer sticks for the park this year (in 185cm) and bents that are 189. imo go for it.

but if u feel perfect on yours then stay with that size. maybe demo them or so. ull get used to longer skis and love them.

my only concern with that is that it will be harder to spin onto rails with the 181's with me only being 140 pounds

at first, while you're getting used to the bigger size it might be, but seeing as the size difference won't be huge, in the end then shouldn't feel too much heavier

this is probably going to sound really confusing and stupid but hell, ill just say it haha. so i got some ar6s this year and im 5 foot 6 and 115 pounds. i ordered the ski in a 166. they looked HUGE when i got them in because they were an inch above my head. i was absolutly terrified to ride them because i came of off a 145 or something that was tiny. after a ton of controversy of if this ski was too big for me and if i could flex it properly or not, i decided keep them and mount them fairly close to center (1.5 back). when i clicked in to them in my basement just to fool around with them, i was so glad i got the 166. the 161 wouldve felt way to short and i could flex the 166 fine. so just the moral of this story, just go to the shop, get a ski that 176 and a ski thats 181, stand on them as if you were skiing (with your shoes off though) and see which one fits your eye best when standing over them. you'll probably get some crazy looks, but at least you wont be second guessing yourself for a long time like me.

if your comfortable with the 176 stick with it if you feel you could go bigger then get 181

i just got 177 walls and i'm about 5'9 125 pounds,
