Cant make my mind up about what skis I want

Hey guys cant make up my mind about what skis I want. My choices are 2014 K2 recoils and 2014 armada ar7.

I am 5,6 135lbs mostly ski park occasional powder.

both of those suck in powder. Maybe go to the line chronic as it's atleast 100 under foot.

Chronics are 92mm underfoot. Both if those skis are going to blow in powder. You'd want something closer to 100mm underfoot a few examples are the shreditor 102, line blend, armada al dente, on3p kartel 98 and Jeronimo, and the faction candide 2.0 (at least I think it is the 2.0)

How did you come up between those two skis (knowing this can help)? When you ski park, what's the percentage of jumps vs rails? Do you enjoy skiing groomers? Are you looking for a softer ski or a stiffer ski?

Well ive read that both skis are stiff soo yeah.... the percentage from jumps to rails is like 40 percent rails 70 percent jumps

While both skis are considered "stiff" they will both flex very differently. The rocker on the Recoils will completely change the flex making it ski softer than it's actual flex. That being said, based on the percentage you've said, you'd probably be happier with the AR7 than the Recoil.

14/15 armada alpha x has actually turned into an all mountain ski.. could be good if you want some pow aswell, but if it's between those skis i would go for Ar7

Is the AR7 as durable/tough of ski as the recoil? Because last season I went through 3 pairs of skis. I tend to go hard so I want a ski that will last

Maybe look at the ON3P Prester if you want stiffness, and durability.

K2 recoils are hard as fuck, you can ski gravel without thinking twice about scratching them up. Got some german panzer tank shit up in that quality. On the other side they're pretty heavy and stiff but that just means you can go big without any worries.

Okay so what would the weight difference be between the AR7s and the Recoil?

AR 7s are durable too don't worry, good luck

You're lucky I've skied both, I've owned the recoils but I only took the ar7's for 1 run. The ar7's are lighter but not by much. Personally I find myself more confident with heavier skis when doing spins than light skis because I feel centered. Either ski is a good choice but personally I'd go with the recoils if you plan on keeping them for a while.

Him hard choise I'm an armada fan, but my friend skied recoil this season and absolutely loves them, but they're to stiff for me. Weight difference isn't much, maybe go to the store and look at the skis In person.. If you got a store! That often helps

Good luck!!

I tried my friends recoils for a week when he was hurt because my skis are shit and i loved them. good enough for me to do small butters but not much more than that rode them in about a foot of pow and they were decent good enough if you only get 4 days. they preform well on both jumps and rails.

i had the filthies so i can vouch for them being able to ski through a mine field, presters are the way to go although pricey.
