Cant get my full tilts tight enough.

i have chicken legs, ill admit it.

i can crank down hard on the middle buckle that locks my ankle in, but the top one i cant get tight enough. i have it at the tightest setting, on the shortest cable setting inside the boot, but i can still just flick it closed. i really wanna lock down on it, any suggestions?

can't wait for Christmas dinner, gunna eat myself to a standstill.
to OP, try extra foam padding like in the 4frnt tech talk vids.

i wish i had more of this issue, my calves are so big that i need to reposition the top buckles so that they can barely accommodate my legs

I have this same problem with t-shirts. My muscles are so huge that whenever I put on a shirt the sleeves tear right off and the chest gets completly annihilated

Did you fit your Full Tilts before buying them? I tried a pair on and they fit me really awkward. The Boot was way too skinny for me.

I have this same problem with my underwear. My dick is so huge that whenever I put on a pair of underwear the front just explodes right open and my dick gets completely hard

my calves aren't necessarily that muscular, they're just fucking big, same with my ankles and feet in general, i have the opposite of chicken legs

but bitch i bust out of tall tees because i'm so ripped...3xl fits like a womens small

Another reason not to order the "hot" boot just b/c you see pros riding it. Go to a shop and try on the boots before buying them online or whatever you did, no simpathy.

I had mentioned a similar solution in another post. Any good boot-fitter will have sheets of dense foam. Have him/her custom shape/grind a foam pad to take up the space between your calf muscle and the top of your ankle bone on the medial (inside) portion of each leg. It attaches to the outside of the liner and permanently lives there. This pad will fill in the natural space and not cause any pressure points. I've done this for LJ, Will Wesson, Rogge and many others. It will definitely be of benefit to you.

yeahhh, stfu noob

cuz i got fitted for them, never went in saying a word about full tilts, they measured my foot and thats what they brought out for me (at the one of americas best boot fitters). it fits perfect everywhere else, i just feel like its too "comfortable" in my shin area if that makes sense, i want to crank it down harder. maybe i just need a stiffer tounge?

I'm wondering if this would help me, as I have the same problem. I've tried everything else, even Booster straps. but the top part of the boot always loosens up and i get shin bang.

It definitely helps with shin bang. Having the correct footbed helps the most since they keep your shins on a constant path (and not twisting) as you flex into the tongue. But if you have a footbed and you can't keep everything tight in the upper cuff, the pads I was talking about will definitely help minimize the amount of slop and looseness and consequently minimize the shin bang.

yeah, i got some little cardboard (I think) inserts to put in my boots to help take up space because I have the worst foot/leg combo being hella tall and having chicken legs. I put them on top of the current footbed (standard one that came with my Konflicts) and it seemed to help a little.
I'm gonna look into getting some foam or something between the liner and shell. or maybe put something around my shin/leg.
It's been really tricky for me because I do a lot of BC touring. I use a #4 flex tongue for touring because it offers more flex while I'm skinning up. I tried my #8s at the resort the other day, and it rallied the shit out of my shins. Problem is with the #4s is that they're TOO soft for when I want to charge/ ride a little harder.
I dunno. I'm gonna start trying a number of different things.
Thanks for the help though!

hey just wondering... if i cut up two thin peices of foam and put them on the front of my shin (with a little gap between the bone) so that it reduces pressure on the bone- where i usually hurt the most from shinbang... will this work?

thanks

okay, and im the one asking a serious question and hes the one making a lame ass assumption

not tryin to be butthurt, just sayin its not all about dates. the advice i was given by others was very helpful.

not sure if this has already been said....

i had the same problem as you. so, grab the top cable and follow it to where it connects to the boot (on the outside there are two black pieces). now take the liner out so you can see the inside easy. right where the wire connects to the boot there are 3 different notches so you can loosen/ tighted the top cable. just fiddle with the cable and put it in the tight setting. that should fix your problem

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet (I honestly didn't read all the longer posts), but you can adjust the top cable to go tighter. Just unscrew the two screws on the side of the boot and take off the back of the boot, the top cable is attached to the backing. To tighten it take a flat head screwdriver and unhook it from where it is, then push the cable through (from the outside), and then pop it into place at the next hook. It sounds kinda confusing, but it'll make sense when you see it. Hope that helps, I had the same problem and I did this and it really helped.

yeah its on the tightest setting. my legs are gross skinny haha. how many 20 year olds do u know that are 130lbs?

Oh, then try the foam, simply go out and find some soft foam blocks then you can put those in there with your legs - if you need to you can even trim them up. In the mean time, work on strengthening your calfs cause the foam is simply a quick fix, if you build up your calve muscles you'll be able to fit into your boots better and it'll help you ski better too.

So last time I went skiing I ended up with a huge bump on my shin. It's been a few days now and it's just a huge bruise now.
I'm still trying to fix my feet/shin problems.

Ye, I have the same problem as the OP. My top strap is really loose even at the tightest setting. Can I make the cable inside shorter so it will fit tighter?

The original poster moved the actual cable to a tighter setting (located where the cable attaches to the boot, not buckle), did you do that already?

man just wear thicker socks, with a pair of legwarmers overtop if you need to, you'll be toasty and your boots will fit

Get an old mouse pad, cut it into squares, put them inbetween the shell and liner, using as many as you need to fill the empty space. Works for me.

im agreeing with the other guy. if you honestly went to a bootfitter, and tried these boots on, you would have known, oh! these are loose around my shins/calves. any bootfitter at "one of americas best boot fitters" would have added foam to these for little to no extra cost to you.

now, take them back to the shop, tell them whats up, and ask for some extra padding so they fit you how you want them to.

and start working out and eating protein a plenty
