i got fitted for a 27.5 spk and it feels great while my foot is in but it is a bitch to bet my foot in if they have been in the cold in there anything i can do to make it easier to put on or do i just have to wait till i break them in?

cold doesn't help thats for sure I think the plastic gets stiffer so they're harder to put on. I find that with the spks if you just yank on the strap on the tounge while pushing down on the heel it works like a charm.

they will become a little easier as you break them in too.........but i have the salomon gun boot that is basically broken in and i have to wrestle just a little bit to get them on

im pretty sure its just the way every ski boot is made, its always a bitch to get on and off.

would probly make your feet cold after but would that wakeboard binding stuff help? the stuff you use to get your feet in easier?prolly not...

wrong...try covering your foot with olive oil then putting your feet in ice for 2 hours so your feet shrink.then after your feet have frostbite and the olive oil has absorbed into the skin heat them up in a deep fryer and proceed to put them in your boots...works like a charm....

THAT was the dumbest idea ever......

seriusly though the plastic stiffens up by 20% when they are in the cold, and it does not take much time to do this. all that happens is that there is energy stored in the atoms in the plastic when the boot is at room temp. then when you go out side into the cold (closer to freezing) the heat (thats what energy is) disipates to the cold air or whatever is touching them making the atoms in the plastic move less, which means that the plastic wont move as much making them stiffer. this all happens really fast. so basicaly keep them in the car when you drive up to the mountain and leave them in it untill you put them on.

You mean soap? That's what most people I know use. But I second the boot heater idea, those things are money, put your boots on there for a few minutes before you put your boots on and it's amazing, nice warm boots that you don't have to fight to get your foot into. Do it.
