Canon T3i

So, I have a couple of friends who are really good at skiing, but they don't have a device to record with. I'm starting to go into videography and photography and I decided to get a camera to shoot HD vids of them in.

So long story short, I'm wondering if the T3i with the 18-55mm lens would be a good choice to make. I'm going for the $500-$900 range. Any help would be great!

get the t3i but not the 18-55mm , its good to start with but soon enough youll get sick of it, get a wide angle for filming park, you can stay at almost iinfity leaving almost everythhing in focus, people will say for a cheap price rand get a tamron 17-50 WA or something along those lines, so get the t3i body and a different lens, do some research

First of you should fill out this. And I would say get a camcorder instead of a dslr, the t3i is a great camera but you are going to invest in allot more gear and 900$ is not going to give you a very solid setup.
