Canon t2i wont turn on/stay on

So very recently my camera on/off switch seems to be messed up, sometimes it will turn on fine but will randomly turn on (yes auto off is off) and if i touch the on off knob gently it will turn off. Ant reccomendations? Do you think a shop can fix this?
 
maybe try pulling the battery, flip the switch to on, then hold the shutter for 30 seconds then switch it off, and put the battery back in
 
How long have you had the camera ? When you look throught the view finder when it does that, can you see numbers ? if not , i suggest you try with a new battery.
