idk why canon would do that its pretty stupid if you ask me. just a small t4i with less buttons on the back...

it's still a good camera... it's a smaller TxI.

this and a 40mm could make for a very nice light/travelling setup. Whether it'd be better than say a mirrorless/compact(rx100 for example) is another question though.

this, you guys have a lot of hate towards canon, CLEARLY this camera doesn't appeal to you or your own uses, great, who gives a shit? It would be a dope camera for traveling as DSLR with a pancake 40mm

definitely in the market for one of these small dlsr's, but its a canon :(

so nice to have a small camera when skinning the bc

Don't see the point other than to attract your average 40 year old Asian who buys it simply cause it's the "smallest and lightest". As soon as you put a lens on it the size difference will be negligible.. And I'm sure someone will say "pancake lens hurrr" but that pretty much defeats the entire point of a dslr if you're going to have a pancake on it all the time. Marketing gimic

Yeah its still a good camera but its not actually any improvement over any of their other cameras. The t2i was released in 2010, they haven't made any real improvements since then.

Canon still making bank appealing to the lowest common denominator using pointless marketing gimmicks. Nothing to see here.

Lets be honest, if someone told you a hasselblad was a t2i you'd hate it regardless of how good it was, no matter what canon does to their txi range you'll never give them a chance.
