I know the mods dont want us pointing out ebay stuff on here but this is semi important. Right now there is a string of sellers on ebay with GL2's for dirt cheep (I have seen some around $33 starting bid with no reserve) They ask you to email them before biding or if you want a quick offer. They will offer one for as low as $400 usd. They will want you to wire money to some where in Romania via Western Union for payment. All of these sellers are sharing the same three pics, They will insist they are true sellers and have an ebay transaction that is sucure, one even sent me a fake email from ebay saying he was inssured for $50,000. DO NOT BUY THESE ITEMS.

Same with some guy selling ibooks and powerbooks.. he wanted 600 bucks via Western Union...

Basically anyone that wants you to send money via western union or through egold, etc... will take your money.
 
same shit happens with Acer ferrari Laptops

they say 10bucks and a but it now of 500 US....you just get scrwewed..
 
yeah back when i was looking at gl2s on ebay some dude wrote to me saying he'd sell me one for 500$ but he wanted me to use western union. didn't do it, cause it sounds like the same thing that is happening here.
 
happened to me with a Giant road bike from london. i bailed because of the western union thing... sounds like its a good thing that i did.
 
dude i didn't belive u and i went out and sent like 4 35 to this guy in europe and i havent got my camra for like 7 weks. i think fedex is just slow.
 
Exactly. I got the same story as the first post. I'll post you some of the emails they sent me:

My item is brand new, unopened box

all accessories included and also an international warranty.

First I am going to tell you some things I think you should know before

I travel a lot and now I am in Eastern Europe. The item is going to be

shipped from europe also.

Now, I can ship through UPS air next day delivery. I will pay for all

eBay right away and have them send you an invoice with my insurance.

Yes sir is the actula picture, you will have 2 years international warranty. Is a US modell.Before i contact ebay for your inssurance, i will need your name,

address, name of the item you want to buy and the price we agreed.

When ebay will approve it, you'll recieve an invoice from them.

Please, don't fall for it. NEVER complete a transaction ouside of Ebay. It's against policy to have transactions on the side.

Also, if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Always make sure you email the seller and ask specific questions. As you can tell from the above emails, most of these sellers are DUMBASSES. They don't know a thing about their products, and well...need to improve their grammar.

Don't be afraid to reply email and bitch them out or report them to Ebay.
 
oh yea hahaha i remember after emailing with these people they were like yes i have a warranty that is for europe. i called and asked about a europe warranty and said they didn't even excist
 
If you ask for the invocie it will come but not from ebay. forward it to spoof@ebay.com and you will get a reply saying they did not send that email.
