Canon gl2

ok so someone is offering me a slightly used canon gl2 for about 1550. hes also including a fairly good lense, a case, a 4 or 6 hour battery pack, and i think a few more little things like connecting cords and stuff. is it worth it? a brand new camera is like 1600 i think, but without the stuff
 
that seems pretty expensive for a gl2 mabye, you could mabye find a vx21k or dvx for that much, not saying they are better,  just you could find a gl2 for alot cheaper i think.
 
be more specefic...how used is the camera? what type of lense? I bought my gl2 for 1650 which was after a 250 dollar rebate...
 
^^are you kidding? I thought on ebay they went for like 2000, and besides, vx2100 and dvx are even more...i cant quote or use my enter key right now, wtf!
 
yeah. maybe i haven't looked around enough, but it seems like a lot of scam kind of sites has them for $500-700 while any real site has them for $1600. not including acessories
 
Hate to bring the market down in case I sell mine anytime soon but I just scored one that is in really good shape for sub $1200. He threw in a bag, charger that charges two batteries at once, a huge battery and the stock battery, two firewire cables, remote, etc... Except for a couple of the tiny screws around the tripod mount missing and a couple tiny little buffing scratches on the camera body from moving around in the bag, the thing is mint.
 
yeah dude its a regular deal, nothing to special. if you have time to wait, try to find a score. I got a vx2000, hard case, century wide angle, sony telephoto, 4 tiffen filters, and 2 extra life batteries for 1200.

I paid 1800 for my camera, used from Adorama.com. It came with, a camera backpack, extra batter, .7x wide angle, all the original books, and a 4 year warentee. A great deal. Look at legit sites. How many hours on the heads?
 
Thats a good deal. Any place selling a gl2 for less than that I wouldn't trust. They are about 2 grand new if you pay full price, but depending on what kind of lens he is also throwing in, it could be a really good deal.
 
look on ebay, you can find them for a lot cheaper than that used. The value of SD cameras will be going down gradually in the next year. HD is well on it's way to replacing SD, give it maybe 2 more years or so.
