Canon gl1 vs. gl2

im thinking of getting a gl1.

does anybody know how it is?

i know its sorta old..i just wanna know if its still a decent camera.

how does it differ from the gl2?
 
i like the gl1's alot we use them at our school, we always use boom mic's with them never the one thats built into the camera, other than that i like them a whole lot
 
I've used both, and both are pretty user friendly. What are you planing on using the camera for? If you just want a camera, save some cash and get the GL1, but if you plan on making edits and everthing, i'd say go GL2. I have one, and I love it. The picture quality is amazing.
 
i plan on using the camera for skiing and skateboarding. i want good quality picture but cant really afford the gl2, so im opting for the gl1.
 
gl1 is the shit. coolest camera ever. we just got one to film with. the quality is so amazing. and the handle is really good for filming runs, it has all the buttons up there so you can go one handed. the mic is really good to, picks up all the sound. you wont be dissapointed.
 
mic isn't that great, but if you get a foam wind-cover thing for it, it'll work fine. I guess i'll also reccomend that you get the GL1 if you can find one.
 
gl's audio sucks compared the the vx's (for skateing) but if your primarily use is going to be skiing then it will be a legit camera for you
