Canon EOS Rebel T3i or Nikon D3200?

I'm kind of new to filming, at least filming on the hill. Ive saved up some money and I can get either camera. What would you guys recommend? Whether it be the two cameras I listed or anything else. My budget at most is around $600 USD. Any help would be appreciated :D

T3i cos the articulated screen will help, particularly if you ever want to film urban or skateboarding as well. It means you don't have to get into awkward body positions to get the right angle, you can rotate the screen.

kit lens should do at first, but save another $400 and get a second hand tokina 11-16 f2.8, aka the newschoolers lens.

Yeah the articulated screen does seem like it would help quite a bit. Hmm is there anything you would recommend for steady handling on the mountain with either one of these cameras? Like a tripod or something? ahahah

Would a Nikon D5200 be worth the extra money? I mean it does shoot 1080p @ 60fps where the T3i and D3200 only shoot @ 30 fps and it has an articulated screen.. hmmm

Many of us have had good experiences with a t3i or t2i. More vintage glass can be used with it, and more of us could give you help with it. Both will be about the same if you plan on only ever using the kit lens though.

5300/3300 shoot 1080/60p, that's all at the moment, the 5300 it probably the best crop dslr you can get.
