Canon 70-200 2.8 USM For Sale

What's up NSers, I have a canon 70-200 f/2.8 USM (not the IS version) lens for sale. I am the only owner of the lens to date, and I can assure you it's been treated like a baby, in fact, it's as new as it was the day it came out of the box. Comes with a tripod ring, manual, case, lens hood, and such. 1000K and some shipping, it's all yours. Would rather not sell, but college and the economy require some funds. I'll prob put it on ebay, but if anyone in here wants this let me know. It has had a filter on it 24/7 is in mint condition, I'll throw the filters in the box two, I think I have 3 for that lens.
 
agreed. I am currently in the market for the nikon 70-200. If i shot canon i would definitely go for this though.
 
False, holy...very good value! Brand new that lens costs £1540.00 (at least $2,500) and that's without filters! These lenses are (provided they are well looked after) just as good 2nd hand as they are new, and will last for lifetimes provided they aren't dropped or scratched. 1000 dollars...I would charge double. Pick up a bargain!
 
Oops I was thinking of the IS price. Still I think this lens retails for about £1000 so more like $1,700. Still very good value and someone should definitely pick that up.
 
Oli here in the States that lens costs about $1300 new :)
but regardless, even at $1k it's still a steal because the lens is such a workhorse and they hold their value very well. plus it's L glass so you know you're going to be STOKED with the results. the 70-200 L was my first step up to pro level glass and I've been nothing but pleased with the results ever since, both with the 2.8 and the 4.

haha sorry dudes... wrote that post after a spliff and the realization I had to sell it... "1k" haha is what I meant. Lens is bomber though, never dropped, always loved, would rather keep it but I need cash more right now. I've got a clear UV, dark and warm filter for it. Lens is mint, shows no wear or anything.

A few friends of mine have the same lens, but with f4.0. Very sick lens, if I had the skrilla I would be buying this.
 
I havent playing with the Non IS version, but the IS version is so fucking money, so Id assume this is as well. Its a shame Im Nikon.
