Okay, I believe most people clicking on this thread actually expect to see real proof of a this future body or others just gonna say I'm trolling.

Nevertheless, I attended the "Salon de la Photo" in Paris today (will go tomorrow also) where basically every huge brands come out and give you goodies, exposes new features, make you try out amazon lenses and blablabla...

I was listening to some random Canon guy performing on the 5DmkIII when he literally said this in front of the audience this French: "je n'ai aucun doute que le monde de la photo accueillera le 5D mark IV avec un énorme enthousiasme".

Translation: "I have no doubt that the world of photography will welcome the 5D mark IV with great enthusiasm". I cannot tell why he said this in comparison to 5DmkIII, I was barely listening to his performance, but my eat catched this.

Now, I just heard this and did not modify any of his words, and I am simply writing down in M&A what I heard from a Canon guy.

So, lets wait and see.

Of course Canon will make a 5D Mark IV, I just doubt it will come anytime soon since so far the 5D's have been on a 3/4 year release schedule.

They had what 4 years between mk2 and mk3 and now like 1 year between mk4?

But guys, i bet it will have a ton of awesome features !!!

You are so fucking ignorant. High iso performance is so much better, and the af-system is now good enough for sports. The sensor didnt need any major changes. What more do you want?

I'm hoping they integrate 1080/60p, and I'm guessing they will now that Nikon has done it. We could even see it in the 7dmkii if we're lucky

I really don't understand this reasoning: packing the camera with unnecessary features for the lazy photographer (high ISO) without improving the most basic element (the sensor).

Call me rigid but I still haven't seen a digital camera with a sensor worth its price tag, and shoving pointless specs in my face isn't working.

Higher iso is a cool feature although you never ever shoot at highest. It simply means that common iso use perform with less noise. A 1320 on 5Dmkii is noisier than on the 5Dmkiii.Now I think the future of DSLRs is having much more power in the processor to shoot full resolution slow mo and in 2 or 3/4 years, 2K will be a norm.
