Cannon 20d

I love it and for sequences it's pretty fast...5 fps with manual focus...but if you're shooting RAW you can only get 6 shots in a sequence. I'd definately wait like a month to pick one up as they will be selling the 30D soon, which will drastically lower 20D prices. The 30D is not worth the extra cash, there's not really much of a difference except for spot metering and a few less important features.

yeh i heard about the 30d im in aus so i dont think itll come out for i while but i could be wrong, how much did you get yours for? wats your setup? is it much better than the 350d?

The burst is definately much better than the 350D, as well as the noise at high ISOs I believe.

I got my 20D body for $1400 about a year ago. I have Canon 50mm f/1.8 II and 24mm f/1.4L lenses for it. One lens cost 13 times as much as the other, but the cheaper 50mm is so sharp, it's definately worth picking up. I also have a Speedlite 420EX, which I rarely use unless I have to.

when will the 30d be comming out? any info on that would be nice. Im saving to buy the 20d, and how much do you think the 20d will drop in price?

I plan on buying a 30d or 20, but i have also looked at nikon d70's, any words on nikon? That sucks thats its only 6 frames in Raw, basically means if its shitty weather there is no way you can get a decent sequence. How come one of you doens't use your speedlite much? I plan on buying one of them too....

if you go to a camera store pick them both up and feel wich one you like more. i couldent stand the way the d70 felt in my hands

thats actually a really important thing i haven't thought about....but whenever i go to camera stores they people think they are soo cool and they are really really big douches to me....i hate them with a pashion. This happens in liek ever single store. I dono why or how.....

just go in and be like yah i'm looking into purchasing a dslr and was wondering if you had a **camera name** that i could look at
