Candide's Qualifier Run at Copper Grand Prix

Minus the reverts, that looked like a pretty sick run. I liked the floaty 5 he threw in there as well. Sucks to see he didn't qualify.

His score was pretty on point I think. He didn't ski a clean run, if he had done a bit better on the first rail and stuck the last landing it would have been a much better score.

Candide is an incredible skier but i wish people put less hype on his return to the comp scene here and stuff.

I'm sure he competed for himself -- to get back in the comp feel and push himself. he wasnt trying to blow up media and go for the olympics, just put himself in the environment and mindset again or put down a run. Lotta pressure with everyones hype for a guy who has skied a half season of park in 4 years.

As for the score... dont let your iconic image of Candide Skew the run, the landings and comfort werent there. Candide is my favorite skier to watch in the backcountry and old park videos of, I'm sure his park game will continue to improve and catchup with his backcountry flow

Lol. Nevernind his sw 630 on he did in 2007. He probably planned a 2 out or another trick that was meant to bring him forward. You don't just throw out your gameplan and then improvise.

regardless of his score / competition results, candide will always be one of my favorite skiers to watch. his hoppy reverty style is still so familiar from like, 2005, in a good, unique, candidey way.

if he landed the first 4 in 2 out, run would been money (and last landing).im really impressed with his rails i mean 3 swap 2 out on a burly feature like that? hes still got it!
